Users are instructed not to submit sensitive personal data (e.g. health data or personal identity codes).

  • Other information provided voluntarily

2.3 Technical Data

  • IP address (temporarily)
  • Browser type and device information
  • Timestamps and technical logs

This data is used to ensure the functionality and security of the service.

2.4 Content Provided by the Customer

  • PDF files
  • Price lists
  • Service descriptions
  • Instructions and frequently asked questions

The customer is responsible if any uploaded content contains personal data.

3. Purpose of Processing Personal Data

  • Generating chatbot responses
  • Automating customer service
  • Forwarding contact requests and leads to the customer
  • Developing and maintaining the service
  • Ensuring security and preventing misuse

Data is not used for automated decision-making or profiling.

  • Performance of a contract
  • Legitimate interest of the data controller

5. Data Retention Period

  • Chat conversations: for a limited period
  • Leads: in accordance with the customer’s own practices
  • Technical logs: for a fixed period for security reasons

Data is deleted or anonymized regularly.

6. Disclosure of Data and Third Parties

ZedChat does not sell personal data.

  • For voice features, a third party (Vapi)

Where necessary, GDPR-compliant safeguards are used, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).

The ZedChat customer acts as the data controller for the personal data of their own customers. ZedChat acts as the data processor.
